A disqualified Dargaville driver on a ride-on lawnmower was pulled over by police and allegedly blew more than double the legal alcohol limit.
Police say a 53-year-old man was arrested after he was seen by a patrol car riding his mower down River Rd, intending to ride to his home around three kilometres away.
The mower was impounded for 28 days and the man will appear in the Dargaville District Court at the end of the month. He is facing charges of careless driving, driving while disqualified and drink-driving.
