KEY POINTS:
Westinghouse has recalled certain models of its dishwashers because of a faulty wire connector which could be a fire risk.
The models are SB908WK, SB916WK, SB916SK, SB926SK, with serial numbers ranging from 70700000 to 72400000, sold after June 2007.
Westinghouse manufacturer Electrolux has warned owners of these models not to use them before they have been checked by an authorised technician.
Owners are asked to call 0800 277 542 to arrange for their dishwasher to be checked free of charge.
