Disgraced former Southland doctor Peter Fisher is to face trial for manslaughter in England early next year.
Fisher, 45, was arrested by British police in October last year and charged with manslaughter over the suicide of Peter Weighman, 39, in September 2002 when Fisher was working in West Cumberland.
Fisher was a doctor in three New Zealand cases involving deaths, including that of Southland patient Mark Burton, who killed his mother.
