The Human Rights Commission has launched a national inquiry into public transport access for the disabled.
The inquiry was launched in Dunedin yesterday by Human Rights Chief Commissioner Rosslyn Noonan, who said public land transport was the only means of transport for many people with disabilities.
Public hearings will be held in Dunedin and Wellington from April to June and the commission hopes to release the report next October.
