Past pupils and friends of Kuranui College are looking forward to a night of nostalgia and celebration at the school's annual Matariki dinner next month.
Robyn Moran, Kuranui College teacher in charge of learning support, and ex-student Barbara Playle are organising next month's dinner which will be held on Saturday July 13 in the college auditorium.
"The dinner is an opportunity to bring old classmates and friends back together. We all have good memories of the school and it will be really good to catch up with everyone again," Mrs Moran said.
"A number of past pupils will be attending such as Professor David Maidment, who is flying in from Texas, John Meads, the son of founding principal Sam Meads, and DB Breweries chairman Brian Blake," she said.
Local musician Pat McKenna is MC for the evening and plans to recapture the nostalgia of the time.
