Police have confirmed they have completed the scene examination at the Woodville house where Pahiatua man James Poto Whatuira was found murdered on January 4.
The forensic examination of a Ford Falcon believed to be connected to the murder has also been completed and items from the house have been seized for forensic testing.
Detective Senior Sergeant Simon Harrison said police had conducted a thorough search of the property.
"Priorities for the investigation team from here will be to follow up on information we have received, and progress our already established lines of inquiry in an effort to identify and locate whoever is responsible for the death of Mr Whatuira.
"Inquiries into the whereabouts of the murder weapon are also ongoing."
