Diaries reveal conflicting views of Weatherston

Clayton Weatherston told the court yesterday how Sophie Elliott saw the pair as characters from Pride and Prejudice.

"She talked about me looking like Colin Firth, who was the actor who played Mr Darcy in the BBC version of Pride and Prejudice, and she talked about stubbornness in the way we were interacting with each other, in a similar fashion to what these characters were, and there was a sense of how I should act as more of a gentleman."

Miss Elliott's diaries showed her conflicting views on Weatherston.

"Maybe saying I regret sleeping with Clayton is a bit harsh, yeah a little harsh. I do like him ... Oh well, luckily he doesn't photograph well so I can just look at photographs of him and be glad things didn't work out.

"The whole relationship stressed me out, practically from beginning to end. So my question is: 'Why do I so want to see him now?"'
