KEY POINTS:
District health boards say they are confident of coping as the radiographers strike entered its fourth day today.
Two hundred and sixty radiographers from seven district health boards began a 10-day strike on Friday in support of pay parity with their colleagues at other health boards around the country.
The affected DHBs are Canterbury, Bay of Plenty, Otago, Southland, Tairawhiti, Lakes and Hutt Valley.
The DHBs said they got through the weekend by transferring patients elsewhere for x-rays and calling on staff in life-threatening situations.
They were optimistic of getting through the week without any major problems, as patients had greater access to private radiography providers.
Negotiations between the two sides stalled on Friday and no date has been set for a resumption of talks.
