Details of plans for a new $120 million retirement village in Parnell are being unveiled today.
Vision Senior Living is developing the $120 million Vision Parnell on Carlaw Park off Stanley St, leasing the property from Auckland Rugby League, which is retaining the land.
Peter Bourke, chief executive and founder of Vision Senior Living, will show design plans to invited guests at the Auckland War Memorial Museum today at 1.30pm.
"This will be the most centrally located retirement village in the country. The first 58 of more than 200 apartments are scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2010," a Vision spokesman said.
Apartments are at the upper price limit. Units of one to three bedrooms will be sold for from $489,000 to $1.1 million. Development work on the site started months ago.
Vision owns and manages retirement villages in Henderson, Botany Downs, Hamilton, the Bay of Islands and Bay of Plenty.
