Details about the Carterton hot air balloon tragedy will be released tomorrow- but the public will have to wait until until next year for firm answers.
Transport Accident Investigation Commission will release an interim report tomorrow on the January 7 crash which killed 11 people.
TAIC spokesman Peter Northcote said the report would give an overview of the inquiry process to date, outline facts that have been established, and set out continuing lines of inquiry, but would not provide analysis.
Investigator-in-charge Ian McClelland will speak at a media conference tomorrow morning, but TAIC said he would not answer questions that invite analysis.
Findings, recommendations and key lessons will be in the final report, due out in March.
