Donations to Destiny Church may have fallen by 12 per cent but Brian Tamaki's religious movement still attracted $5.6 million from followers for the year ended February 2009, the most recently released financial statements show.
The biggest drops in donations were recorded in Tauranga (down 41 per cent to $241,306) and Wellington (down 16 per cent to $455,643), the Sunday News reported.
Whakatane was the only Destiny branch to show an increase in donations, up 38 per cent to $325,225.
Total revenue for the Destiny movement fell 7 per cent to $6.7m.
Destiny's foundation church, Rotorua, brought in $734,537 in donations, while Auckland attracted the largest amount, $1.7m.
It was the first time Destiny's full earnings had been revealed publicly through the Charities Commission.
