Frothy confections and minimalist little numbers lined up at the Hilton last night when nine top designers shaped up for a show with fizz.
But it was cocktails, not clothes, that got the crowd staring as Nicholas Blanchet was judged the best mover and shaker with a minty cocktail called Tongue and Groove.
The event also featured drinks whipped up by the designers behind the World and Zambesi labels, Servilles hairdressers, plus Karen Walker, Trelise Cooper, Adrian Hailwood, Doris DePont and Liz Mitchell.
Blanchet won a luxury stay at the Hilton, which staged the show to celebrate its commitment to next month's L'Oreal New Zealand Fashion Week.
Also part of the prize was a bumper bar tab at Bellini, where all the entries will be on the October cocktail list.
