The Greens yesterday reallocated policy portfolios among the party's six MPs.
The Green caucus has been reduced from nine to six following last month's election.
Greens co-leader Rod Donald said there had been some reshuffling and reallocation of responsibilities previously covered by the departed MPs.
"While all MPs have an increased workload, second-term MP Metiria Turei has picked up significant new responsibilities including justice, conservation and biosecurity," Mr Donald said.
The justice spokesmanship was held by Nandor Tanczos, who was too far down the party list to make it back into Parliament.
The main policy portfolios held by Green MPs are:
* Jeanette Fitzsimons - climate change, energy, environment, genetic engineering and transport;
* Rod Donald - electoral reform, finance and revenue, superannuation, commerce and trade;
* Sue Bradford - agriculture, ACC, employment, housing, industrial relations and social services;
* Sue Kedgley - animal welfare, broadcasting, consumer affairs, health and food;
* Keith Locke - defence, foreign affairs, immigration, police, security and intelligence;
* Metiria Turei - biosecurity, conservation, education, justice, Maori affairs and treaty issues.
