Dentist complaint upheld

A woman who claimed a Canterbury dentist made her touch his penis while she was sedated has had her complaint upheld.

The Dentists Disciplinary Tribunal found the man guilty of professional misconduct over the 2001 incident.

However, the dentist is still practising, and has interim name suppression until the tribunal decides what penalties to impose, the Press newspaper reported.
