A man with dementia has been missing overnight in Wellington.
Police said 66-year-old Graham Penny left his Johnsonville rest home about 4.30pm yesterday and has not returned since.
Sergeant Matt Wheble said police and his family are concerned for his safety.
Police are this morning searching an area around the rest home, as well as other areas across Wellington and Lower Hutt.
They are asking members of the public to keep an eye out for Penny and to contact police immediately on 111 if they find him.
