Rubber-neckers are being blamed for traffic delays after a crash on Auckland's southern motorway just north of the Bombay Hills tonight.
Police said a van veered off the road and flipped onto its side.
The male driver escaped with moderate injuries and the van was off the highway and not impeding the traffic flow.
"However, rubber-neckers are slowing down the traffic-flow and this is causing concern for police," Inspector Lou Alofa said.
He urged motorists not to slow down at the crash scene.
