A police spokeswoman said it appeared no one was injured in the State Highway 18 crash at the Tauhinu Rd off ramp but ambulance were in attendance.
Seven people were assessed by St John and three people were transported to hospital with minor injuries, a St John spokeswoman said.
Meanwhile, Mahia Rd in Manurewa, south Auckland has reopened to traffic after a car crashed into a power pole about 8.10am.
No one was injured and Vector are on the way to make the power lines safe, a police spokeswoman said.
Earlier, a crash involving two to three cars on State Highway 18 just before Albany backed traffic up to Greenhithe.
The crash happened at 6.30am. It wasn't major and no-one was injured, however one vehicle was still blocking the right-hand lane of the motorway as of 7.15am, a police spokeswoman said.
A crash also occurred on Auckland's Southern Motorway about 7am. The crash temporarily blocked the left city-bound lane just after the Gillies Avenue on ramp.
Motorists were advised to take care and expect delays.
A St John spokeswoman said it attended the Southern Motorway crash and treated one person with minor injuries at the scene.
They were not transported to hospital.
A Fire Service spokesman said they attended both of the early crashes but left shortly after as their assistance was not required.
In yet another cause of delay, a concrete truck broke down on Auckland's Ellerslie-Panmure Highway about 8.40am blocking a lane of west-bound traffic.
The breakdown has now been cleared.
Additionally, a police spokesman said there was a around 8.30am crash at the intersection of Pakuranga Rd and Acmena lane involved a single vehicle.
The vehicle rolled and one person received moderate injuries and another person received minor injuries.
