Motorists are being told to expect delays around Matamata this morning after a heavy truck and trailer rolled in the early hours of this morning.
The driver of the vehicle sustained minor injuries after the truck overturned on State Highway 27 at Te Puninga, Matamata, just after 2.30am.
The trailer rolled onto its side and the truck came to a complete stop on the side of the road, approximately 1 kilometre south of Horrell Road, police said.
The state highway is expected to be closed for several hours as authorities begin to remove the truck from the scene.
Diversions will be put in place.
