KEY POINTS:
A truck and a tourist bus have collided on Auckland's South-Western motorway, causing traffic to backlog along an alternative route to Auckland International Airport.
This afternoon's crash is one of several on Auckland motorways which have stretched emergency services today.
One person is understood to be "heavily trapped" but it was not known what vehicle the person is in. Details on any injuries are not yet known.
Inspector Matt Sillars of the police northern communication centre advised motorists to avoid the South-Western motorway where possible.
He warned drivers to slow down and take care on the roads.
