An Air Force Boeing 757 is to take 122 Defence Force staff to Niue today to help with recovery efforts after the devastation of last year's Cyclone Heta.
Their work is to include tree-felling on the approaches to the airport, helping construct kitset buildings, providing medical support, repairing sea tracks and equipment and clearing a walking track.
The exercise will also allow personnel to do training, practise low-level operations in a tropical environment and promote closer relations with Niue.
