Fisheries officers are considering charging the operator of a deepwater fishing boat seized last Friday. They allege that the $600,000 boat was fishing without a High Seas Fishing Permit.
It was seized with its catch of about two tonnes of lobster tails and other lobster products which have an export market value of about $80,000. The vessel and the lobster could be sold if the prosecution goes ahead.
