Death of Tokoroa baby investigated

Waikato police are investigating the death of a three-month-old baby in Tokoroa.

Detective Rick Rudolph, of Tokoroa CIB, would not say where or how the death occurred.

The investigation which began on Tuesday had progressed and police had spoken to many people.

Mr Rudolph said information had not been released earlier because of the sensitive nature of the investigation and the family's funeral plans.

No further details were available.
