Waikato Police believe the death of a man whose decomposed body was found at a Meremere address on Sunday was not suspicious.
District Rural Crime Services Supervisor, Detective Senior Sergeant Mike Whitehead, said the body of a man was found in a house in the town and a post-mortem examination was completed in Auckland yesterday.
"Police carried out a preliminary investigation into his death which included a scene examination by forensic experts and no suspicious circumstances have been established," Mr Whitehead said.
"The man's death has been reported to the Coroner."
