Death of baby now homicide - police

Police are now treating the death of a 22-month-old baby at Waikato Hospital last week as a homicide.

Police says the Hamilton girl, known as Sage, suffered injuries of a non-accidental nature.

Investigators are still waiting for additional forensic results before commenting on the cause of death.
