KEY POINTS:
Police are considering running a driver-awareness campaign targeting mobility scooters after the death of an elderly Nelson woman.
Isabella Wilson MacKenzie, 89, died on Friday after her mobility scooter was hit by a car reversing out of a driveway in Main Rd, Stoke, the previous day.
Sergeant Phil Wooding said Nelson police would review the crash investigation and accident reports before deciding whether charges would be laid.
He said the police didn't have a mobility scooter awareness campaign, but this would be reviewed after the coroner's report.
Vehicles had to give way to all footpath users, Mr Wooding said.
