Friends and family will farewell a woman who died in a car accident this week - killed the same way as her father, 28 years before.
Louise Pallin, 35, died after crashing into a tree 4km outside Clevedon on Tuesday night. The British woman had emigrated to New Zealand in 2006 to be with her family, after her sister Nicci married a New Zealander.
"She was always very close to her family, hence why she followed us here," said her mother, Carol Pallin. "If you needed any help in any way with anything, you'd ring Louise."
Carol's husband Michael also died in a car crash. "She never really got over her dad's death," Carol said. "She was only 8 when he died." Carol said the anniversary of Michael's death had always been a poignant day for Louise. "It was the first time in her whole 35 years that she'd not acknowledged it, funnily enough."
Her older sister, Nicci Pallin-Simmonds, said Louise had enjoyed spending time with her niece and nephews. She will be farewelled at a service in Clevedon on Tuesday.
