Deaker lines up big hooley

Partying all night with friends at a venue complete with a band and magnificent harbour views is how sports commentator Murray Deaker plans to greet the new millennium.

Deaker, wife Sharon and some close friends will be at Coast, on Auckland's Princes Wharf, for New Year's Eve. "It's going to be a big hooley. The place is going to rock," he said.

The new year would have a lot to live up to, and he hopes it will be as good for him as 1999.
