Internationally-renowned "dark blues" troubadour Delaney Davidson is back in Wairarapa to complete a hat-trick of concerts - to share more mysterious tales about fishing, the world news and life in prison.
Davidson, fresh from a seven-month solo tour of the US and Europe, will be stopping in Masterton as part of a nationwide album tour, playing at King Street Live tonight.
This will be the third time Davidson has played in Masterton - once at Aratoi with fellow country/folk artists Marlon Williams and Ebony Lamb and the Masterton District Brass Band, and again with Williams at King Street Live.
Of all the places around the world he has seen, Masterton has one of the "nicest crowds" to play for - and certainly one of the hardest working, if the success of King Street Live is anything to go by.
"I always enjoy coming to Masterton - it's always a great drive over the hill," said Davidson.
