KEY POINTS:
David Bain will be retried for the murder of his Dunedin family in Christchurch in August.
A court decision released today confirmed the venue of the High Court trial, but none of the content of the judgement can be published.
Bain was released from prison on bail in May last year, after serving nearly 13 years behind bars for the murder of five members of his family.
He was freed after the Privy Council quashed his conviction, but the Solicitor-General has ruled that it is in the public interest for Bain to be retried for the murders.
