A date has been set for a hearing into the case of two girls allegedly murdered by a car outside a party in Christchurch in May.
A depositions hearings against Lipine Sila will begin on November 12.
Defence counsel Lee Lee Heah told Christchurch District Court today the hearing could take three weeks, but she said the duration could change and the court would be advised closer to the time.
Sila, 22, was remanded in custody by Judge Stephen Erber.
He faces charges of murdering schoolgirls Jane Ada Young and Hannah Perkins Rossiter, both 16, who were among hundreds of young people on Edgeware Road outside the party on the night of May 5. He is also charged with driving with excess breath alcohol.
He also faces six charges of attempted murder and eight charges of wounding with intent to cause grievous harm relating to eight people seriously injured when Sila allegedly deliberately drove his Honda Integra into the partygoers.
Twelve of the charges relate to six victims and have been laid in the alternative.
