Dramatic footage from a car's dash cam shows how a truck narrowly avoided taking out an oncoming vehicle as it crashed through a median barrier this morning.
The large lorry ploughed through the centre barrier just before the Oteha Valley Rd ramp on the Northern Motorway just after 8am.
The footage shows the lorry was heading south on the outside lane before it veered over the inside lane and over the median barrier.
The lorry got wedged on the concrete barrier, preventing it from colliding head on with northbound motorists.
A police media spokesperson said a heavy truck carrying gravel was in a collision with a car on the Northern Motorway.
