Wairarapa's Marcus Daniell has been included in New Zealand's Davis Cup tennis squad to play Uzbekistan on clay at Namangan from March 4 to 6.
Daniell, 21, will be joined by Michael Venus, Artem Sitak and Robin Statham while Marcis Vos is the non-playing captain.
Venus is the highest ranked ATP singles player in the Kiwi line-up at 346 while Sitak, the current national singles champion is at 351, Statham 496 and Daniell at 785. Their doubles rankings are Sitak 182, Statham 258, Daniell 523 and Venus 627.
Uzbekistan have a top-100 ranked player in Dennis Istomin and Vos expects them to give New Zealand a tough test in what is their first Davis Cup group one match for seven years.
"It's a big challenge for us but we have the depth to do well," he said.
