A Wellington prisoner who allegedly escaped police custody at court by faking an illness has been found.
Wellington police were searching Rikihana (Ricky) Tawhai since Saturday morning when he allegedly fled Porirua District Court.
Tawhai, 27, said he was ill and an ambulance was called but police said he ran off while being assessed.
He was considered dangerous and not to be approached.
Tawhai has since been arrested again after being found at a Porirua property.
