A dangerous prisoner who escaped while being led to court is still on the run, police say.
Perry Bristow, 26, fled from Manukau District Court last week as he and another prisoner, 23-year-old Vincent Geros, were being escorted by security guards from the cells to the courtroom.
Geros was recaptured at an address on Auckland's North Shore yesterday but police still have no leads as to the whereabouts of Bristow, the more dangerous of the two, police spokeswoman Ana-Mari Gates-Bowey said.
He was arrested in connection with a string of armed robberies in Auckland and was thought to be affiliated to the Killer Bees gang.
He may also have access to firearms so police strongly advised anyone who came into contact with him to stay clear and to contact them immediately.
