Police hunting a man in relation to an aggravated robbery say he is considered dangerous and should not be approached.
A warrant for the arrest of Richard Thomas Rangiuia, also known as Joseph Harding McLeod, was issued in January in Whakatane in relation to driving matters.
Police said today they also wanted to speak to him in relation to other matters, including an aggravated robbery in South Auckland.
Rangiuia is described as a 32-year-old Maori, 184cm tall of medium to solid build.
Police said he was known to frequent the Bay of Plenty and Auckland areas and was considered dangerous and should not be approached.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts was asked to contact Counties Manukau police.
