An accused aggravated robber under 24-hour curfew is being hunted after he cut off his electronic ankle bracelet - and police warn that he is dangerous and likely to be armed.
They believe Teariki Marsters, 24, was also involved in recent violent incident involving a firearm in South Auckland earlier this month and are appealing to his associates to "do the right thing" and hand him in.
Detective Sergeant Brett Shields said Marsters was arrested on October 20 and charged with eight aggravated robberies, all involving guns.
He was granted electronically monitored bail on December 12 and released to an address in Tuakau under a 24-hour curfew.
However, police allege that on December 21 Marsters cut off his electronic bracelet, left his bail address and has not returned.
