The postponement of their Wellington premier division women's hockey semi-final match with Eastern Hutt from Saturday to tonight has strengthened Dalefield's chances of an upset success over the competition pacesetters.
Experienced campaigner Jodi Graham was not available for Saturday's encounter at the National Hockey Stadium but is able to make the trip over the hill for tonight's fixture, which gets under way at 7pm.
Dalefield coach Rochelle Retter said Graham's inclusion would be a boost for her side with her assertive approach sure to be a valuable asset against an Eastern Hutt team always looking to intimidate their opposition.
Retter is adamant that while Eastern Hutt have had the better of Dalefield in all three of their clashes so far this season Dalefield can reverse that trend tonight.
"Yes, they are a very good side but, potentially, we have a team who can take them down," she said.
"We believe we can win, now we just have to go out there and do it."
