Dalefield will be looking to exact revenge in Wellington premier division hockey matches this weekend.
Both their men's and women's teams will be in action at the National Hockey Stadium and they will be facing teams who beat them on home territory in first round clashes.
The men take on Victoria University and while the form book points to a comfortable University win Dalefield have shown enough improvement in recent games to suggest they could make a close game of it.
Coach Mark Fenwick has been encouraging his side to play a positive brand of hockey and they have enough pace and skill in their forward line to take toll on any deficiencies in the University attack.
The last time the two teams met University won 5-2 but a closer result seems a strong possibility on this occasion.
The Dalefield women are up against Indians and here too the record of the two teams would suggest a comfortable Indians win.
The Wellington-based side are sitting in third place on the competition table with 20 points while Dalefield is sixth and last with four points and also in Indians's favour is that at their most recent meeting they won 5-1.
In many of their games though it has been a lack of finish rather than any shortage of scoring opportunities which has blunted Dalefield's edge this season and if they "click"up front here it won't be all one-way traffic.
