Marquis Dalefield will be looking to build on their promising start to the 2013 season when they play Victoria University in a Wellington premier division men's hockey match at Clareville tomorrow.
Dalefield were the rank outsiders when they opened their campaign with a match against the powerful Hutt squad a fortnight back but they basically went goal-for-goal in a game eventually won by Hutt 6-5.
What pleased Dalefield coach Greg Clark most about the performance was that not only did Dalefield break open the Hutt defence on numerous occasions, they also turned most of their prime-scoring opportunities into goals.
Clark will be hoping the same trend continues against a Victoria University side which had mixed results from a double header played two weeks ago, losing to Harbour City 4-1 and beating Northern United 5-3.
