Dalefield will be looking to put their goal-scoring woes behind them when they play Northern United in a Wellington premier division men's hockey match at the National Hockey Stadium in Wellington tomorrow.
There have been few matches where Dalefield have not equalled their opposition on the score of territory and possession but too often they have failed to convert attacking opportunities into goals. Coach Willie Schaefer says putting a finger on why Dalefield have struggled to find the back of the net is difficult as the squad contains players with proven skills in that area. It could come down to attitude.
"I think we need to be more decisive about picking the spot and going for it," he said. "We have to be more aggressive in the way we go about things."
Joseph Robertson and Alex Sumenko-Bucknell will be missing from the squad tomorrow; Robertson because of commitments with the Wairarapa under-15s and Sumenko-Bucknell through injury.
