Dalefield hockey team members figured prominently in the first two rounds of the national competition staged in Dunedin over the weekend.
Dane Lett and Jesse Workman were included in the Wellington team who recorded a 2-0 win over Canterbury and 2-1 over Central.
The competition continues from September 18 to 26, in Albany, Auckland.
Dalefield coach Lance Hair has joined the Wellington team in the role of video analyst.
Meanwhile, Wairarapa College students Nicholas Finlayson and Trent Lett have been selected by Black Sticks assistant coach, also Wellington national hockey league coach, Sean Dancer to attend Under-19s NHL team trainings as part of a junior development group.
