Dalefield are anticipating stern opposition from Victoria University in their Wellington premier division women's hockey match at Clareville tomorrow.
While Dalefield with 41pts heads the points table and are sure of a semi-finals berth University lie fifth with 29pts, just three behind Indians.
Therefore the students will be desperate to pick up maximum points to enhance their prospects of a top four finish at the end of the preliminary rounds.
Dalefield coach Kim Henson is aware of the urgency certain to be shown by University but believes his team would only need to repeat the excellent form they displayed in their 4-1 win over Hutt on Tuesday night to secure another victory.
"That performance indicated just how good we can be when everything goes according to plan," he said. "We didn't dominate the game but we scored the goals when they were there to be scored and that's the difference at this level, you have to take your opportunities."
The Dalefield men continue their Wellington premier division programme with a match against Hutt in Wellington tomorrow and after their narrow loss to pacesetters Northern United last weekend they should have the confidence to make another bold showing.
