Marquis Dalefield men's hockey team travel to Wellington to tackle Northern United at 2pm tomorrow, a fixture they will have mixed feelings about.
The last time the two teams squared off Dalefield came out on the wrong end of a 8-2 scoreline after a horror 10-minute period which saw the Clareville team ship six goals. It is not an experience they will want to repeat.
"This could be a bit of a payback game," team manager Dave Blackwood said. "Last time showed the need to concentrate over the full 70 minutes, something we've struggled to achieve so far. We need to learn from that."
Should Dalefield be able to manage that, Blackwood rates his team's chances against a Northern side which hasn't set the hockey world on fire this season. Dalefield travel to the National Hockey Stadium with a full squad available except for striker Joseph Robertson who is on Capital U-21 duty in Whangarei.
