KEY POINTS:
Police are appealing to the getaway car driver involved in the shooting of a west Auckland dairy owner last month to give himself up.
The man fled after New Lynn dairy owner Xu Mei Ying, 46, was shot in the arm with an air rifle during a raid on her shop on July 26.
The alleged gunman Bronson Lyle Nahu, 18, unemployed from Henderson, was further remanded in custody when he reappeared in Waitakere District Court yesterday.
He faces charges of wounding with intent to injure, unlawful possession of a firearm, assault with intent to rob and commission of a crime with a firearm.
Police said today they were still looking for the getaway driver.
Detective Senior Sergeant Stan Brown said they were following very strong leads and believed they knew the identity of the driver.
He said it was better for him to give himself up before police found him.
Mr Brown said police had also identified the car they believed was used in the incident.
