Carrington Croquet Club father-and-daughter duo Terry and Carissa Price were in dynamic form when the Wanganui club held their 79th annual open tournament.
Terry Price won the A Grade Cup for the second successive year while Carissa Price, who is in only her second year of croquet, took the major spoils in the B Grade Cup. She has lowered her handicap from 18 to 10 this season.
On his way to victory, Terry Price beat R Bonnor (Wanganui) 20-16, lost to J Broughton (Whakatane) 15-16, beat J McIntyre (Marton) 26-25, beat J Abernathy (Marton) 23-14, beat J McInness (Wellington) 26-16 and beat G McIntyre (Marton) 25-18.
For her part, Carissa Price beat K Fitchett (Wanganui) 17-5, P Quirk (Wanganui) 26-14, T Skelsey (Manawatu) 21-17 and D van Belle (Wellington) 14-5.
