Cyclone runs out of puff

Former Cyclone Rene is likely to bring no more than drizzle but could push more warm, moist air on to Northland.

A fresh wind is expected to pick up from the southwest today, relieving the humidity of recent days.

WeatherWatch says the storm has rapidly weakened as it approaches New Zealand.
