It seems the tiny Fiji island of Cikobia has felt the wrath of Hurricane Daman.
Officials at Fiji's Disaster Management Office have now made contact with the island. Sources say all the homes on the island have been flattened by the storm, and a number of casualties have been recorded.
Lives have also been lost and hospital officials are trying to get more details through the nursing station on the island.
It was about three in the morning local time when the category four Storm roared through Cikobia, which is home to about 70 people.
