A cyclist has received serious injuries following a crash in Springston in the Selwyn District south of Christchurch.
Emergency services were called to the serious crash, involving a car and cyclist, on Pannetts Rd at 3.10pm.
The road is closed and motorists are advised to use alternate routes.
The Serious Crash Unit is examining the scene.
