Cyclist hit rocks

A male cyclist aged 43 killed in a crash on Christchurch's Port Hills probably lost control around a sharp bend before hitting rocks, police say.

The man died about 11.30am on Saturday in the Mt Cavendish scenic reserve car park. Police are seeking witnesses, in particular an off-duty doctor and nurse who helped at the scene.
