Cyclist hit by car on Tamaki Dr

A cyclist was hit by a car on Auckland's Tamaki Dr this morning.

The accident happened about 8.30am on the corner of Tamaki Drive and Nga Pipi Rd.

The man has been taken to hospital and police say the accident is causing a "fair bit of congestion" on the road.

An eyewitness says the bike is badly damaged.
